Rules VHAVU follows for United States
✓Location sharing is OFF by default and must be deliberately enabled by the person sharing.
✓VHAVU does not permit another family member to secretly switch on an adult user's location sharing.
✓Precise/background location is used only for user-enabled safety/location features, not advertising.
✓VHAVU does not sell precise location, family relationship data, private messages or children's data.
✓Access to family data is restricted using authenticated access controls and row-level security.
✓Sensitive permissions use prominent in-app explanations and can be revoked in VHAVU or device settings.
✓Account deletion and associated-data deletion paths are provided; narrowly required legal/security records may be retained only when necessary.
✓Children and teen accounts receive additional age/guardian and high-privacy protections where applicable.
✓Chat is limited to intended family/approved relationships and is designed to support blocking/reporting and abuse response.
✓Third-party services and SDKs are reviewed for data access, purpose, retention and privacy obligations.
✓Security and privileged administrative access are restricted and auditable.
✓VHAVU maintains a compliance-change monitor against official regulator and app-store sources.
✓Child-directed or under-13 experiences are reviewed against COPPA requirements, including parental-consent obligations for covered personal information.
✓State privacy requirements are reviewed where applicable, including rights relating to access, correction, deletion and sensitive data.
✓Precise geolocation is treated as sensitive data and is not used for targeted advertising.
VHAVU Compliance Brain
Our automated monitor checks selected official regulator and app-store policy sources on a daily schedule. When a monitored source changes, VHAVU records the change and creates a review alert.
Material changes to consent, children, location, retention, security or legal wording are not silently pushed by automation; they require human review before release.
